Pardon these three months of silence! I’ve been running on all cylinders with book launch prep, career transitions, and a couple of meaty freelance projects, to boot.
My debut novel Masquerade will be published in just over a month, on October 29. I was honored to be listed among TIME Magazine’s Most Anticipated Books of Fall, alongside authors like Garth Greenwell and Sally Rooney, last month. ARCs have been out in the wild since late summer and it’s always thrilling (re: panic-inducing) when someone tags me in a review or comment.
If you feel so inclined, I’d be grateful if you could preorder my novel from your preferred indie bookstore and/or request a copy through your local library, as these are both ways to make a title stand out to booksellers and the publishing industry. You can also preorder via Bookshop, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and Tertulia.
I will be doing a few events in the coming months, including two in Tokyo where Japan-based folks can grab a copy. (Shipping outside of North America is a bit exorbitant, unfortunately.) More details to come.
Publishing a book is a constant toggle between fast and slow. At this point, I’m feeling gratitude, quiet excitement, and a small measure of apprehension. I’ll leave the more substantive commentary for another time, and simply offer these photos as a narrative record of the recent past. 🌕🪞🥀🪞🌕
looking forward to reading it!
