On a serious note, I talk about what will happen to Japan when it will loose the attraction it has now down the line with my friends all the time - I think someone will find a corner in the world and post online and that will catch heat one day ... but I don't think it will happen so soon.
I felt the same way about Paris the last few times I was there: this sense of absolute fatigue from decades of tourists swarming the city, day in, day out. The sustainable travel market should really put energy towards diverting people with disposable income and curious hearts to smaller cities and other places that actually need and welcome more visitors.
